Education and training:

• Residency: Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, from JULY 01. 2008 to JUN 30. 2011 at Loma Linda University Medical Center.

With strong emphasis on musculoskeletal medicine, multidisciplinary approach to musculoskeletal diseases including pharmacological treatment, using physical therapy, occupational therapy, modalities and biofeedback. performing different procedures including knee injections, shoulder injections, carpal tunnel injection, occipital nerve block, trigger finger injection and trigger points injection, and during my pain management rotations I performed epidurals steroid injections and facet medial nerve blocks under the supervision of the attending physician), Rehabilitation of spinal cord injury patients, traumatic brain injury and stroke patients. Extensive training in performing Nerve Conduction Study and Electromyography, Spasticity management including oral medications and Botox injection.

• Internship: Internal Medicine, from July 2006 to Jun 2007 as an intern and from July 2007 to Jun 2008 as a senior resident in Internal Medicine at Loma Linda University Medical Center.

Work experience:

• Starting since 07/2012, currently I am working at RMS Medical Group part-time in Commerce California as a pain management consultant. I see patients with work injury. I use multidisciplinary approach to manage the patients’ pain including pharmacologic treatments, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Modilities, Aquatic therapy,Acupuncture. I performed lumbar and cervical epidural steroid injection, Stellate Ganglion block, facet joints medial branch block and facet medial branch nerve radiofrequency ablation.
• Starting since 05/2012, currently I am working part time at Pacifica Orthopedics Group at Huntington Beach performing NCS/EMG studies and as a pain management consultant. *Staring since 04.04.2012, currently I am working part-time at Santa Monica Wellness Group. I work there as a pain management consultant. I use multidisciplinary approach to manage the patients’ pain.
• From SEP.01.2011 until May.11.2012 I worked at Grabow Medical Group in Orange County, a private Pain Management practice. I saw patients with chronic pain and performed spine procedures including lumbar and cervical epidural steroid injection, Stellate Ganglion block, facet joints medial branch block and facet medial branch nerve radiofrequency ablation.
• Before my residency I worked at Fountain Valley Regional Medical Center in Orange County as a Lab Technician from 06/2003 to 04/2006
• General Practitioner 09/1997 - 05/2001 I worked as a general practitioner in Iran after graduation from Medical School. I managed patients in all age groups with acute and chronic diseases.

Hobbies & Interests:

In my spare time I enjoy physical activities such as swimming, running and tennis. In addition, I often enjoy watching movies and going to various cultural events.
